Jevany makes an appealing base for a proper Sunday leg-stretcher. The village is surrounded by ponds and sits beside the Voděradské bučiny nature reserve, so the setting has plenty of character before you have taken many steps—or started negotiating with your camera. The village lies on the Jevanský potok, which eventually joins the Sázava at Stříbrná Skalice. That thread of water helps explain the chain of ponds around Jevany and gives this demanding loop a distinctive local backdrop, rather than making it simply another outing beyond Prague. Several marked photo points encourage you to slow down along the way, including a stop labelled Hraz, meaning dam. The creator has also marked another possible place to park. On the return loop, one section follows a road; this is the point where the creator specifically advises extra care. Leave a little time for the photo pauses—walking is allowed to have an intermission.
