This easy loop from Hrabětice has a clear goal: Slovanka, a wooded summit crowned by a historic iron lookout tower. It works especially well as a relaxed evening outing, when you can slow the pace and let the camera add a few entirely respectable delays. The hill was once known as Seibtův vrch, after its owner, and later took the name Slovanka from a company lodge that formerly stood at the top. Its tower has been here since 1887 and is considered the oldest iron lookout tower in Czechia—a modest structure with a rather impressive place in the country’s sightseeing history. The walk first leads to a viewpoint where it is worth lingering, followed by a documented photo stop. From there, continue to Slovanka, then pause at the second photo spot before completing the loop back in Hrabětice. There is no need to hurry: the sequence of short stops gives the outing its character, and photography is an excellent excuse for catching your breath.
