From Takaka across Yushan to Xiangyang, this multi-day traverse leads experienced hikers from high summits into remote forests. It is not an official long-distance trail. The article describes landslides and altitude difficulties: check current trail conditions, arrange permits and overnight stays, and carry all your food. Some sections require water for two days.
